How long before new concrete can be used?
Concrete begins to set within hours, but it continues to harden and gain strength over time. Keep people, vehicles, and heavy loads off the slab for the period specified for your project. Weather, mix, slab design, and the load all affect timing; we will give you care instructions after placement.
Why choose a decorative concrete finish?
Stamped concrete can bring a stone, slate, or brick-inspired pattern to a patio or walkway without individual units. Color and release options add variation, while broom-finished concrete is a practical, textured choice. We can review samples and sealer options before the pour.
Are there different kinds of concrete?
Yes. Concrete mixes are selected for the project’s required strength, exposure, placement, and finish. The right mix depends on where the slab will be used and its design; a higher PSI number alone does not determine whether a slab is suitable.
Does fiber reinforcement replace rebar?
No. Fiber can help reduce plastic-shrinkage cracking in fresh concrete, but it does not replace rebar or wire mesh where the project design calls for them.
What should I compare when reviewing estimates?
Compare the full written scope—not just the total. Check that each estimate covers the same dimensions, demolition, base preparation, thickness, reinforcement, drainage, finish, cleanup, and exclusions.
